People buy based on relationship, creating relationships is key.

Most people use social media as a way to distribute business cards, not to build up relationships, which is why they fail. Google+ is a good example of this, in the forums especially.

Expertise is communicated through relationship

Trust is developed through relationship.

So relationships first, sales second.

We don’t have time to develop a thousand relationships, so targeted relationships become essential.

Creating an entity to encapsulate your audience into is key

Local, industry specific, interest bases relationships.

Relationships take time to develop and a lot of people don’t want to invest that time, those that do succeed.
